Arbitration accompanying construction
In the case of large-scale projects the Court of Arbitration for Private Construction Law in Germany offers a service of arbitration accompanying construction. Once the Court has been engaged to act as an independent decision-making instution with regard to the implementation of a construction project, from the moment that planning starts, a team of arbitrators stands ready to step into action immediately in order to speedily reach legally binding decisions regarding any disputes that may arise. On completion of a construction project all legal disputes between the parties involved also need to be resolved. This means that lengthy disputes lasting years after a project has been completed are avoided. Witness statements and any case-related procedures can thus be registered, investigated and decided upon without delay, a process which can otherwise only be achieved with a high expenditure of time and money. The fees for this kind of procedure depend on the project in question and are to be agreed in advance with the Court.
