Simple Arbitration Proceedings

Once the arbitration contract has been signed, the Court of Arbitration for Private Construction Law in Germany can become active for construction law disputes of any financial amount. For disputed values of under 50,000.00 € the "simple proceedings" are used. The court names an abitrator, lawyer and experts as necessary to deal with the case. Payment is made according to time expended and calcuated at a daily rate. The current daily rate is 2,000.00 € (plus 19% VAT) = 2,380.00 € for every arbitrator and eintails a 6-hour working period. Any additional case costs which occur are also charged. As a rule, a legal dispute can be processed and a legal verdict reached within one to three days.
